I am getting excited!!
I LOVE christmas!
Yes, my birthday is superclose to the holidays so that's a PART of it.
But i get so happy and so excited by it all.
Some of my best childhood memories are centered around christmas.
I love everything about a trini christmas.
First off, just hearing Parang makes me giddy happy.
Drinking Sorrel flavoured shandy...eep! I can get this all year round but never drink it other than at christmas time.
Forget about regular sorrel...lawwd! D yumminess!
I hate cleaning the sorrel because i once found a dead scorpion in one...yea...
Pastelles!! Last year was my first time making these and they turned out GREAT! Hope i can remember how to do them this year!
Last year two of my friends and i got together to make christmas cookies. Fun new tradition.
Very messy but yummy and fun. I have ideas in my head this time to make it go smoother...perhaps less alcohol consumption while baking!
The christmas shopping is also fun..but its not the present buying. I wish we could nix presents save for lovely handmade items ...but the mall atmosphere!
The decorations and music. Love that part of it. LOVE.
I am excited!
I can't wait!
What are some of your fave fun traditions?
For got that the turtle tagged me.
So here goes 7 random facts about me . I'm not tagging anyone but please play along if u want to and lemme know in the comments so i can go read!:D
1. when i get stressed i count. I count anything and nothing. Reciting numbers calms me which is weird cuz i'm so not a numbers person.
2. I love to mix cereal. I hate having one kind only.
3. Taking pics and doing makeup makes me happy. Making jewelry recently joined this happy list :D
4. I'm not sure what i want to be when i grow up. Or if i WANT to grow up.
5. My jeans are two or three sizes too big. But boy are they comfy.
6. I love long deep conversations, but sometimes i need to just take things at face value in order to stay sane
7. Nailpolish on my toes makes me really happy. I've never not been without polish on my toes for as far back as i could remember because we weren't allowed to wear fingernail polish in school. My rebellion was to wear it on my toes, hidden by my socks. I tried going without for a month and a half recently. Painting them hot pink a few days ago restored my happiness.
